SAMRAT ASHOKA EARLY LIFE • Ashoka was born as Devanampriya Priyadarshi Samrat Ashoka, in 304 BC, in Pataliputra (close to contemporary Patna), to the second emperor of the Mauryan Dynasty Bindusara and Subhadrangī .He was the grandchild of Chandragupta Maurya, founding father of the Maurya dynasty and therefore the builder of 1 of the most important empires in ancient Bharat. • His mother was queen Subhadrangī. She gave him the name Ashoka, meaning "one without sorrow". Ashoka had several elder siblings, all of whom were his half-brothers from the opposite wives of his father Bindusara. ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE EARLY LIFE • Vajpayee was born to Krishna Devi and Krishna Bihari Vajpayee on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior. • His father was a writer and a faculty teacher. Vajpayee did his schooling from the Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Gwalior. • Later, he studied at Victoria College, Gwalior – now Laxmi Bai College, for his graduation. SHAKTIKANTA DAS EARLY LIFE • Shaktikanta Das (born twenty six Feb 1957) may be a retired 1980 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. • Born in Bhubaneswar, Das was schooled at the Demonstration Multipurpose School, Bhubaneswar and then obtained bachelor's (BA) and master's degrees (MA) in history from the St. Stephen's College at the University of Delhi. AJIT DOVAL EARLY LIFE • Doval was born in 20 January 1945 in Ghiri Banelsyun village in Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. Doval's father was an official within the Indian Army. • He received his early education at the Ajmer Military School in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
